Baseball Recap: Sidney Takes a Loss

Sidney lost against Butler last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets lost 23-5 to the Aviators. The Yellowjackets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Logan Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season. Ethan New was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Butler, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Looking ahead, Sidney will be playing in front of their home fans against Stebbins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they are taking a road trip to challenge Troy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aviators are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
