Baseball Recap: Mendon Unity Takes a Loss

Mendon Unity lost against Pittsfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs lost 12-5 to the Saukees. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery Frese made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 4-for-5. Skylor Goudschaal was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Mendon Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pittsfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Mendon Unity will be playing at home against Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pittsfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Calhoun at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Saukees surely won't give up without a fight.
