Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Lutheran Warriors vs. Lourdes Central Catholic Knights

The Lincoln Lutheran Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Lutheran has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 19.

Lincoln Lutheran is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against St. Cecilia on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Lincoln Lutheran lost 56-30 to St. Cecilia. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Bluehawks are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Lourdes Central Catholic was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 52-47 to Sacred Heart. The Knights have struggled against the Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lourdes Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Lincoln Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 1-19.

Lincoln Lutheran couldn't quite finish off Lourdes Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 44-41. Can Lincoln Lutheran avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
