After losing to Merritt Island Christian the last time they met, Rockledge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Rockledge was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-9.

Their offense was headlined by Taylor Mertz and Marlee Jeddrie, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Avianna Gaboury and her 15 assists. Madison Gutke controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Rockledge picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-7. As for Merritt Island Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Rockledge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Cocoa Beach on the 22nd. As for Merritt Island Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against St. Edward's on the 18th.
