Baseball Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

The matchup between Montgomery and Hamilton on Saturday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Cougars lost 15-4 to the Hornets. The Cougars have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

John Donahue made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Shay Cheskis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hamilton, their record is now 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery will host Hillsborough at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Steinert at 11:00 a.m.
