Basketball Game Preview: Tolman Tigers vs. Hudson Bluehawks

Two dominant guards in John Hilaire and Keith Robinson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Tolman Tigers will jump right back in to play the Hudson Bluehawks at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Tolman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Barrington, who was ranked seventh at the time (Tolman was ranked 23rd). Tolman put the hurt on Barrington with a sharp 70-45 win on Friday. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Hudson put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Watervliet 86-55. That's two games straight that the Bluehawks have won by exactly 31 points.

Tolman better keep an eye on Gannon Logue. He was instrumental in Hudson's win, going 9 of 18 en route to 27 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.

Hudson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Hudson's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.6 points per game. As for Tolman, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
