Providence Catholic came tearing into Wednesday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Evergreen Park Mustangs.

Providence Catholic never let Evergreen Park on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23.

Sean Dovin paced Providence Catholic's offense, picking up nine kills. Dovin got some help from Andrew Lubinski and his 17 assists. Dovin was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Providence Catholic pushed their record up to 14-18 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Evergreen Park, they moved to 11-21 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Catholic will host Montini Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evergreen Park, they will take on Lemont at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
