Basketball Recap: St. David Tigers vs. Valley Union Blue Devils

The St. David Tigers can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by Valley Union on the road to the tune of 65-32. The victory was nothing new for St. David as they're now sitting on three straight.

St. David was led to victory by Mayla Trejo and Anissa Jacquez. Trejo scored 15 points along with three steals, while Jacquez dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Jacquez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 23 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Halee Deskins, who scored six points along with four steals.

St. David's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2. As for Valley Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

St. David does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Valley Union won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Pumas at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Bisbee is ranked 203rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 209th).
