Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Firebaugh). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 74-71 victory over the Dos Palos Broncos on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won eight in a row.

Leading Firebaugh to victory were Roman Rodriguez and Manuel Armendariz. Rodriguez posted 17 points, while Armendariz scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jasson Lara, who earned 11 points.

Dos Palos lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jacquez Jones, who put up 24 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. Anthony Lish was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Firebaugh's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Dos Palos, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 10-16.
