Basketball Recap: Regina Dominican Extends Winning Streak to Four

Regina Dominican extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jillian DeFranza. The Regina Dominican Panthers snuck past the Latin Romans with a 47-41 victory on Friday thanks in part to DeFranza, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Anna O'Connor, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those three steals gave her a new career-high.

Regina Dominican's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Latin, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-5.

Regina Dominican will take on Willows Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Latin, they will square off against North Shore Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
