Football Recap: Maple Mountain Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Maple Mountain's offense. They had to suffer through a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Springville Red Devils. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Cole Allred threw for 120 yards on 13 of 26 attempts. Brooks Ross was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards.

Lisiate Valeti was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Maple Mountain and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Springville, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Maple Mountain is set to challenge their familiar foe Spanish Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Springville will square off against rival Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
