Baseball Recap: Mountain Island Charter Comes Up Short

Mountain Island Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Pine Lake Prep Pride. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Tuesday.

Mountain Island Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Whited, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mountain Island Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Pine Lake Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Island Charter will challenge Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raptors are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will take on Bradford Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pride will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Bears will have lost ten straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
