The St. Edward Eagles will take on the Berea-Midpark Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edward is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 39.4 points per game this season.

St. Edward heads into the matchup have just come up short against nationally ranked Archbishop Hoban (St. Edward was ranked 98th at the time). The Eagles took a 24-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights two weeks ago. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Edward might have lost, but man, Brandon White was a machine: he picked up 117 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 53 yards. White really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 78 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Zach Hackleman, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Berea-Midpark rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Tigers 48-24. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won three contests in a row.

Berea-Midpark's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for St. Edward, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Everything came up roses for St. Edward against Berea-Midpark in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, as the team secured a 56-14 victory. In that game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
