South Milwaukee put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights a 26-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-0 two weeks ago.

Ava Dziondziakowski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Amber Helgren was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Abby Elmore was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

South Milwaukee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .696. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .478 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

South Milwaukee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

South Milwaukee has already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Whitnall on the 29th. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, they will take on Greenfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
