Volleyball Recap: Oak Glen Find Success

Oak Glen won the last time they faced Buffalo and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Bears walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bison. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bears.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Oak Glen took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11.

Brayley Lash paced Oak Glen's offense, picking up eight kills. Lash got some help from Mikalyn Balch and her 26 assists. Balch was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oak Glen's victory bumped their record up to 14-6-3. As for Buffalo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Oak Glen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Philip Barbour on the 20th. As for Buffalo, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Ravenswood on the 23rd.
