Volleyball Game Preview: Valley View Eagles vs. Hemet Bulldogs

The Valley View Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Hemet Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Valley View will be strutting in after a victory while Hemet will be coming in after a loss.

Valley View barely beat Moreno Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

While Valley View might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Moreno Valley scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Hemet came up short against Liberty on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Hemet started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.

Hemet's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Valley View, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Valley View took their victory against Hemet in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
