The Sunset Knights will head out to square off against TERRA Environmental at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunset will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
On Monday, Sunset got the win against Belen Jesuit by a conclusive 10-1. The Knights have beaten the Wolverines the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolverines has come to flipping the script.
Jonalexander Rivera was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Christopher Gonzalez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Rafael Sosa was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Sunset kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between TERRA Environmental and Westminster Christian, and Westminster Christian kept the tradition alive. TERRA Environmental took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westminster Christian on Wednesday. TERRA Environmental hasn't had much luck with Westminster Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Michael Gutierrez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Zannier Marin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Sunset picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 9-11. As for TERRA Environmental, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.
Everything went Sunset's way against TERRA Environmental when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Sunset made off with a 12-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
