Basketball Game Preview: Glenn Hills Spartans vs. Butler Bulldogs

Glenn Hills hasn't had much luck against Butler recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Glenn Hills Spartans will face off against the Butler Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Glenn Hills is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were dealt an 88-4 loss at the hands of Josey. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Eagles are ranked 19th).

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Butler received a blow as they fell 51-35 to Thomson. The contest marked Butler's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Glenn Hills will need to focus on slowing down Brayla Harris, one of several Butler players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Rania Curry, who put up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Glenn Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Butler, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Glenn Hills was dealt a bruising 78-10 defeat at the hands of Butler in their previous matchup two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Glenn Hills was down 53-1.
