Volleyball Recap: Canfield Wins Going Away Against Hathaway Brown

Canfield's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Hathaway Brown Blazers 3-0. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Canfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-5.

Ashtyn Hanousek paced Canfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hanousek got some help from Vivian Biro and her 31 assists. Hanousek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Canfield's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Hathaway Brown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Canfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Berkshire on the 11th. As for Hathaway Brown, after both having extra time off, they and Boardman will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
