John Curtis Christian proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 15) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

John Curtis Christian's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Curtis Christian will challenge Denham Springs at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Denham Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.36 runs per game on average), something John Curtis Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, they will take on South Terrebonne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
