Softball Game Preview: Edison Golden Bears vs. Seguin Matadors

Edison hasn't had much luck against Seguin recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Golden Bears will welcome the Matadors at 7:15 p.m. Edison has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Edison lost 16-3 to Burbank on Saturday. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aaliyah Rodriguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Angelina Araujo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Seguin waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Seguin pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12-1.
