Basketball Recap: Trinity Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Trinity had won two straight games and Grady Whytlaw did his part to make it three on Friday. The Chargers walked away with a 34-21 victory over the Marfa Shorthorns thanks in part to Whytlaw, who posted seven points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds. Whytlaw is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Mann, who had seven points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Marfa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-32 loss against Iraan on the 6th. As for Marfa, they have also already played their next contest, a 43-29 victory against Grandfalls-Royalty on the 6th.
