Baseball Recap: Cedar Hill Comes Up Short

Cedar Hill fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Skyline on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 4-3. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 9-7.

Ryan Samuel made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlon Harris, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Cedar Hill's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Skyline, their record is now 8-4.
