Volleyball Recap: Texas' Undefeated Season over After Four Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Texas challenged China Spring on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Kyleigh Perkins paced Texas' offense, picking up eight kills. Perkins also shared the team's lead in assists with Cruz Hopkins: they picked up seven each. Perkins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Texas fell to 3-1. As for China Spring, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Texas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sunnyvale on the 15th. As for China Spring, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Sanger on the 15th.
