Softball Game Preview: Emmett Huskies vs. Middleton Vikings

Emmett is 1-9 against Middleton since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Middleton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Emmett, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Emmett earned an 8-3 win over Caldwell. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Middleton faced Bishop Kelly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Vikings fell 6-1 to the Knights. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Emmett's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Middleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
