Soccer Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Loss

After flying high against Valhalla last Saturday, Scripps Ranch came back down to earth. The Scripps Ranch Falcons fell just short of the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Falcons couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Ian Bae, who's now up to nine this season.

Scripps Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rancho Buena Vista, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Scripps Ranch duke it out with the Olympian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Buena Vista will take on Granite Hills in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Granite Hills' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
