Baseball Recap: Samson Comes Up Short

Samson fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Elba on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Elba by a score of 7-6. Samson was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Elba earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

Samson dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Elba, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Samson will look to defend their home field on Monday against Geneva at 4:30 p.m. As for Elba, they will head out to challenge Kinston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
