Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Cony's Winning Streak

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Cony finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Edward Little Red Eddies, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

The loss snapped Cony's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Edward Little, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Cony will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Waterville at 4:00 p.m. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Edward Little, they are taking a road trip to challenge Brewer at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Witches' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Red Eddies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
