Football Recap: Perry Meridian Comes Up Short

Perry Meridian lost against Plainfield back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons took a blow against the Quakers, falling 41-6. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Jackson Schoch threw for 201 yards and one touchdown. Colton Barker was his top target, picking up 138 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Tristan Ling rushed for 59 yards.

Luke Starnes was his usual excellent self, rushing for 189 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 60 receiving yards for Plainfield. Bryce Sebanc was another key player, throwing for 275 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Perry Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Plainfield, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Meridian will take on Whiteland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainfield, they will face off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Quakers will be up against the Woodmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
