Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilmington). They enjoyed a cozy 69-54 win over the Lisle Lions on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-48 back in December of 2024.

Wilmington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Rink out in front who went 8 for 15 en route to 21 points. Rink is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Ryan Nelson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Wilmington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in four consecutive matches.

Wilmington is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Lisle, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-22.

Coming up, Wilmington will head out to square off against Indian Creek at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Indian Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season. As for Lisle, they have already played their next contest, a 71-70 win against Illinois Math & Science Academy on the 8th.
