Basketball Game Preview: Pelham Panthers vs. Spain Park Jaguars

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pelham Panthers face off against the Spain Park Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Pelham came up short against Helena and fell 50-39. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Spain Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-34 bruising from Chelsea. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Hornets are ranked 23rd).

Spain Park now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Pelham, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Pelham barely slipped by Spain Park in their previous meeting last Friday, winning 36-35. Does Pelham have another victory up their sleeve, or will Spain Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
