Basketball Recap: Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners vs. Lexington Christian Academy Lions        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, the Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Tuesday. They took their  contest on the road  with ease, bagging a  77-44 win over Lexington Christian Academy. Given Rocky Hill Country Day's advantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 14th in Rhode Island, while the Lions are ranked 102nd in Massachusetts), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Rocky Hill Country Day got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Aliona Nikulina out in front who  scored 17 points along with six  steals and five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addison Mahar, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and nine  rebounds.
 When it comes to explaining why Lexington Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Nicole Burns. Despite the final result, she  scored 28 points along with four  steals. That was a full 63.6% of Lexington Christian Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 Rocky Hill Country Day has  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Lexington Christian Academy,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-6.
 Rocky Hill Country Day will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Lexington Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  challenge  the Highlanders at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
