The Jackson County Panthers were beaten by the Jefferson Dragons 38-3 on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

RJ Knapp threw for 145 yards on 15 of 22 attempts. Jacob Coombs was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards.

Gavin Markey was a one-man wrecking crew for Jefferson as he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jefferson, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
