Waterford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Mogadore with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 48-34. The victory was familiar territory for Waterford, who have now won 16 contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Mogadore still got an impressive performance from Julie Tompkins, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 14 points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Tompkins a new career-high in field goal percentage (71%). Amelia Morris was another key player, putting up six points.

Waterford's win bumped their record up to 26-1. As for Mogadore, they moved to 23-5 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
