Baseball Recap: Warsaw Takes a Loss

Warsaw came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Valparaiso Vikings. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Warsaw saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinton Brock, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Brock is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Warsaw's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Valparaiso, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Coincidentally, Warsaw and Valparaiso will both be playing South Bend Adams the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
