Basketball Recap: Lisbon Comes Up Short

Lisbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Kindred Vikings, falling 83-27. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Vikings are ranked 13th).

Despite the defeat, Lisbon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brynn Wiltse posted 17 points and five rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Wiltse.

Lisbon's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Kindred, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Lisbon will square off against Valley City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kindred, they will take on Central Cass at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
