Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Spring Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Goldsboro on Wednesday, sneaking past 1-0.

East Duplin's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Spring Creek, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

East Duplin took their victory against Spring Creek when the teams last played on Thursday by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
