Volleyball Recap: Forestburg Comes Up Short

Forestburg was the 3-0 winner over Gold-Burg when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Longhorns fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Brenna Briles paced Forestburg's offense, picking up 17 kills. Briles got some help from Jocelyn Rich and her 20 assists. Briles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Forestburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gold-Burg, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forestburg will venture away from home to challenge Victory Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gold-Burg, they will head out to face off against Woodson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
