Recap: Sand Rock Wildcats vs. Ider Hornets
The Sand Rock Wildcats had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ider 34-0 at home. The win was just what Sand Rock needed coming off of a 47-0 loss in their prior contest.
Sand Rock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kane Robison led the charge by rushing for 175 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Alec Ashley was another key contributor, throwing for 204 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Sand Rock's victory bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Ider, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5.
Sand Rock will face off against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitesburg Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Ider, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fyffe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fyffe has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 375 points over their last seven matchups.
