Football Recap: Chugiak Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Bartlett

Chugiak faced Bartlett in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 39-13 to the Golden Bears. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Although Chugiak took the loss, they still got scores from Shelby Strange and Isabel Sjostrand.

Chugiak has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Bartlett, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Chugiak has already played their next match, an 18-16 defeat against West Anchorage on the 4th. As for Bartlett, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-0 loss against Colony on the 3rd.
