Baseball Game Preview: Morgan Raiders vs. Coshocton Redskins

The Morgan Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Coshocton Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 24.

Morgan came up short against West Muskingum on Thursday, falling 8-1.

Brylee Shannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Morgan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Baker, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Coshocton fell victim to Tuscarawas Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Redskins just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Coshocton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Morgan took their victory against Coshocton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-5 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redskins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
