Soccer Recap: Central Woodstock Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Central Woodstock and Stonewall Jackson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Generals on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Stonewall Jackson this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

Central Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Stonewall Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Woodstock will face off against Rappahannock County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stonewall Jackson, they will challenge Riverheads at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stonewall Jackson will be up against Riverheads' rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
