Bellingham and Nooksack Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Bayhawks will head out to take on the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Bellingham lost 3-0 to Meridian on Monday. The Bayhawks have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Nooksack Valley hadn't done well against Burlington-Edison recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Pioneers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

Nooksack Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Bellingham's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Nooksack Valley, their record now sits at 12-5-1.

Bellingham couldn't quite get it done against Nooksack Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Bayhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
