Providence won the last time they faced Independence and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 15 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Providence is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Independence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Providence will take on Charlotte Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.4, the Cougars 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
