Preview: Jasper Wildcats vs. Evansville Bosse Bulldogs
Jasper is 4-0 against Evansville Bosse since September of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jasper Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Jasper is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Jasper got themselves on the board against Vincennes Lincoln, but Vincennes Lincoln never followed suit. They walked away with a 13-0 win over the Alices.
Meanwhile, Evansville Bosse was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Evansville Harrison 48-13 at home.
Elijah Wagner had a dynamite game for Evansville Bosse, rushing for 203 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 300 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Arron Finott also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.
Jasper's win pushed their record up to 6-3, while Evansville Bosse's bumped their own up to the opposite: 3-6.
Everything went Jasper's way against Evansville Bosse in their previous meeting back in September as Jasper made off with a 56-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jasper since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
