Football Recap: Ava Reed's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clark over Legacy

Clark scored first but ultimately less than Legacy in their matchup on Tuesday. They took an 18-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Legacy Longhorns. The Chargers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Clark lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ava Reed, who picked up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 39 yards. Another passer making a difference was Taedyn Parks, who threw for 93 yards and two touchdowns.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Legacy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clark will challenge Chaparral at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Legacy, they will take on Bonanza at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonanza's defense has only allowed 7.5 points per game this season, so Legacy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
