While Belmont's victory against Gilford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Raiders skirted past the Golden Eagles 11-9. The win continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Brayden Townsend was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sam Binder, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Belmont's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Gilford, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Belmont will head out to take on Colebrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Gilford will be paying especially close attention to the Red Raiders' game: after the Red Raiders face off against Berlin, they'll take on Gilford again at 4:00 p.m. on May 4.
