The Jay County Patriots will face off against the Oak Hill Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jay County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

On Saturday, Jay County didn't have quite enough to beat Huntington North and fell 3-2. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Emmitt Reynolds was handed one for Jay County, while Huntington North got theirs courtesy of Liam Tinkle.

Raif Beiswanger and Jacoby Penrod scored both of Jay County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill kept a clean sheet against Mississinewa on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Indians. Oak Hill might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six goals or more this season.

Oak Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those six contests. As for Jay County, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Jay County took their win against Oak Hill in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
