Volleyball Recap: Thomas Heyward Academy Comes Up Short

Thomas Heyward Academy was the 3-1 winner over Cross when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels fell 3-1 to the Stingrays on Tuesday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Thomas Heyward Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 25-9, 25-19.

Thomas Heyward Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cross, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Thomas Heyward Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cross, they will challenge Charleston Math & Science at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
