Softball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-4 to the Springfield Senators. The Generals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Senators from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

MacArthur saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Jackson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Jackson a new career-high.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Springfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, MacArthur will head out on the road to challenge Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Springfield, they will take on PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
